Welcome to The Law of Sport for Trimester 3! This site is your central hub for lectures, tutorials, and assessment information. The recording and materials for Lecture 1 (What is Sports Law) are now available on the Lectures page. This lecture sets the foundation for the entire course — it covers how sports law sits within the broader legal landscape and why it matters. Make sure you watch this before Tutorial 1.

The problem question for Tutorial 1 has been posted on the Tutorials page. Read the scenario carefully and come prepared with your initial thoughts — we'll work through the legal issues together. Remember to watch Lecture 1 first, as the tutorial builds directly on that material.

The brief for Assessment 1 (Research Essay, 40%) is now available on the Assessment page. The essay is due in Week 5. You'll find the full brief, marking criteria, approved topic list, and an explanatory video on the Assessment page. Start thinking about your topic early — the best essays are the ones where students choose something they're genuinely interested in.

The Discussion Forums on eLearning are now open for the trimester. This is the best place to ask course-related questions — your classmates will benefit from the answers too.
